This installation piece explores the intersection of AI and human emotions, raising questions about how these two coexist in today’s society. In the video, I wear a brain cap with wires connected to an hologram that gradually uploads my childhood memories, symbolized by red dots. The audience views the video from the AI’s perspective, with rectangles reminiscent of facial recognition technology as the AI attempts to categorize the scene into simple terms. However, as more memories are uploaded and I experience reliving my childhood in real time, the AI becomes increasingly confused, unable to decipher the complexity of my emotions. As the cap is removed and the camera pans out to reveal the studio setting, exposing the entire process as an installation, the AI’s confusion deepens, grappling with questions of reality and emotion. Overwhelmed by this inability to distinguish feelings and authenticity, the AI ultimately crashes.
